Dancing With the King

Week 4 – Dancing With the King

“My dove in the clef of the rock, in the hiding places on the mountainside,

show me your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.”

Song of Solomon 2:14 NIV

We were deep in prayer and intercession but when I opened my eyes I beheld a glorious sight. A young girl who attended our meeting that day was dancing. She was dancing for her King. And I watched in awe as I saw her heart so fixed on Jesus. The glow on her face is forever etched in my memory. Joy flooded my heart. Never—will I forget that prayer meeting!

A year later I was in despair. I had lost all hope, vision and purpose for my life. I was convinced that my contribution to mankind was over…I was washed up…no longer good for anything! I believed a lie from the enemy. The big U hung around my neck – unwanted, unnecessary, and ugly!

This was only my perception. God’s truth was hidden behind my twisted mindset.
The enemy had stopped me cold in my boots…for a season.

You have an enemy that hates you.  He knows the button to push to send you reeling into a pit of doom and despondency. Evil forebodings become your expected and seemingly normal state of mind. Satan, in his unbridled malice, is determined to hold you in this place of little dreams and mediocrity.

     Have you been here?

Have you walked into a brick wall and met defeat? Have those you love turned a cold shoulder in your direction and cast judgment? And has the label placed upon you by those who whisper behind your back become your new fashion accessory?  Does any of the jewelry listed below hang around your neck?

Have you considered buying into this lie?

BP – Bad Parent
D – Divorced
S –Stupid
H – Harlot
NAGA – Not as good as………
A – Adopted
O – Overlooked
G & C – Guilty and Condemned
NW – Not worthy of God’s love
U – Unwanted
R – Reject

This blog will be concluded next week. Seriously consider the scripture found in Song of Solomon 2:13. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the names you call yourself. Do you think any of these may come from God? Are you convinced of his love for you? Do you have dreams or are your dreams so small that you don’t need the Lord’s help and supernatural intervention?

I am praying for you!
