Is There Yet Hope?
God is calling His church to revival.
There will be no great move, no sweeping revolution across this land
until the sons of Levi purify themselves before the Lord of Hosts.
From out of nowhere I heard the unmistakable heart of God. The words put a fear of God in my soul and I cried out, “Oh, Lord, purify me, that I may bring glory to your name. Let this revival begin with me.”
And then I remembered. “Judgment begins at the house of God.”
“For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God;
and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be
for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
I Peter 4:17
As I listen to people or read the Christian media reports I am repelled and disheartened by sin spreading like cancer throughout our great nation.
When the Spirit spoke the above words of judgment regarding the church I was suddenly sobered. Yet as sternly as He impressed upon me the need for discipline, for repentance, I was filled with hope that judgment was—not yet. There was still time, hope for America. That hope depended on the church bowing her knee in repentance.
But there is more good news. If we purify ourselves through surrender to the Holy One we will see far-reaching revival in the church. Miracles will become common place. Isaiah’s prophecy brings tears to my eyes. Get excited, beloved!
“Arise shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
Sound the alarm my sister, blow the trumpet in Zion. Seek the Lord while He may be found and bow before Him. Humble yourself at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to purify your heart. Then lift up your head—your redemption draws nigh
