The Shadow of His Hand

The Shadow of His Hand

“In the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.”
Isaiah 49:2

hope for DinahIt was a cry of my heart—a plea. Only the Lord knew. And the cry went unanswered—for a season. While He hid me in His quiver—while He polished me as a stone, until I had yielded—till my greatest desire was to show the Lord my love—despite unanswered prayer.

In the midst of my despair, in darkness where tears fell on Father’s lap, He gave me a Word. This unleashed Word enlightened my soul leaping from the pages of my Bible into my heart.

“I am my Beloved’s. His desire is toward me….let us go forth into the field…
Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish… there will I give thee my loves … and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my Beloved.”
Song of Solomon 7:10-13

I prayed again. This time I asked He would bring another shut door so I gardencould prove my love—so I could take my Beloved into my garden and show Him fruit on His behalf—despite unanswered prayer.

And He did. There was not even the slightest inclination to cry but only to lift my hands and rejoice. I rejoiced for the privilege to honor and love Him above all. He lifted me to the heavenlies and nothing else mattered! A waterfall of joy poured over my soul. How great was my desire to bring my Beloved the fruit of my love, adoration and complete trust in His goodness—despite unanswered prayer.

Even now, memory of that precious moment brings me to tears. Did the Lord ever open the door I had been knocking on? Oh, yes, it wasn’t too long before I held my dream in my arms!

FaithBeloved, daughter, I tell you today you have a Savior whose desire is toward—you! You have a Father who sent His finest and best that you may be His. From you He withholds nothing but draws you close into His bosom, whispers your name and calls you Beloved. Lift up your voice, darling of tllittle mouse and big hearthe Lord. Exalt His name more than wine. Sing songs of love in the midst of the dessert. And your Savior will meet you. He will lift you above this earth and into His presence. Nothing else will matter—nothing!

Margie, there are very few who can paint the heart of the Father and the honesty of the human heart and will into words. You are truly anointed to let the Father’s love and our surrender to pour out of you onto paper. You could never have this anointing to pen without the experience of loving Him above all, even at the time the of the unanswered prayer. As always, you bless my socks off! I love YOU, Pam

Precious Pam, Your love overwhelms me. Today, for the first time since walking that valley, I was able express in words the heart of God as He called to me. Today was the appointed time. And that is true with all our stories with Father. Each has a story and each story has a time frame for its telling. No valley you walk through is ever wasted. There are those you will meet down the road for whom your story will be the perfect fit. Father will see to it! We are all ministers of His glorious gospel! I love you, Pam!

Thank you Margie! My journey with my Beloved is just starting, He shows more of Him as I humble myself. My Beloved is real, He is concrete and I understand more every time I read your writing. Just want to run to His open Arms again, say, I love You, I need You, please forgive me for being cold. I need to need You more!
